The Postcolonial Frameworks Roundtable
A scholarly discussion about Postcolonial Theory and current scholarly analysis of African American communities.

The Africana Studies Program welcomed four scholars from institutions around the country to participate in a roundtable discussion about Postcolonial Theory. The participants were tasked with questioning whether postcolonial theory can be re-visited as an effective theoretical tool in the case of African Americans.

- Mohammed Mbodj, Manhattanville College
- Hilary Jones, Florida International University
- Babacar Mbaye, Kent State University.
A group of Lafayette students worked with the senior scholars to examine the presented theme. Alumnus Damilare Oyefoso served as coordinator for student participation.
Professors Robert Blunt, Joel Shelton, Jeremy Zallen, Andrea Smith and Wendy Wilson-Fall were active participants in the round table. Visiting Professor Nate Carpenter also took part in the discussions.
